Listen to this shit a friend told me recently:
“I’ve been playing the parent death card real hard lately. My productivity has been fluctuating way too much for me to really commit to a big project right now, so I’m doing cobweb work.”
Her debilitating loss in question was an entire… 3 weeks ago.
Girl. Love. Homie.
Respectfully… use that card as long as you fucking need.
Consider it your handicap parking tag, park a lil closer to the store when it’s hard to move.
I doubt you’re playing at anything for real though. You won’t believe this, but I highly suspect people are happy to extend you the grace you’ve earned by being there for them in so many ways.
I wonder if you’re feeling guilty about it becaue of hyperproductivity culture and your hyper independent liar brain telling you if you can’t keep up with output you’re useless to others?
Maybe in the next life we can navigate the world in peace
