I’ve been thinking about how excited I am to watch you grow, so I wanted to tell you a story that hasn’t happened just yet.

This story is called Once Upon Someday.

Once upon someday When you’re all big and grown You’re gonna go outside and play But you won’t be alone.

We’ll hike the tallest mountains And see what we can see But you won’t have to be afraid Because you’ll be with me.

We’ll see the big tall pine trees Play some forest hide and seek Explore life’s hill and valleys Splash in waterfalls and creeks.

Sometimes the trail feels long and tough But we’ll know what to do I know you’re made of stronger stuff So I can stick with you.

We’ll sing the whole way home Dance to music in the car When I’ve got a friend like Hayden No roadtrip is too far

We’ll stop by the library And say hi to all the books Then we’ll go see your with mom and dad For yummy snacks they’ve cooked.

Because your family loves you We can get through any weather You won’t have to worry Because we’ll be together.
