My partner pokes fun at the time he looked over at me on an airplane aisle and I was fully sobbing into this book. I talked about it as though it was happening in real life to someone I loved. Jessica did an absolutely stunning job writing about the complexities that arise when juggling the health of a loved one, racism, societal pressures, and relationships.
