Lit review
When I tell you I devoured this book in one (insomnia-fueled) sitting, I’m not exaggerating. The story is wild to the point of feeling like there’s no way it can be true… Except that Tiffany Jenkins lived it.
Having not previously been familiar with her hugely successful social media page (@jugglingthejenkins), I went down a bit of a rabbit hole after finishing this book. Each video only served to make her even more relatable.
When she pops up on my feed now it's as though I'm proudly seeing updates from an old friend. High Achiever is a stunning account of a woman going through hell to get out from the crushing weight of addiction and work toward recovery.
The honesty and humor with which she tackles her most rock-bottom moments is how I aspire to be in recovering from my own trauma.
I was so moved and inspired by this read that I immediately lent it to a friend, who also read it in one day. Now that’s a good book.
